Kedarnath Group Tour from Haridwar
A four-day group yatra from Haridwar to Kedarnath and back, from ₹9,999 per person on budget departures. Travelling as a group lowers the per-person cost of the vehicle and rooms, but it also needs a little more planning: every member registers separately, the last stretch to Gaurikund is by shared jeep, and ponies and helicopter seats are booked per person. This page covers what a group needs to know.
Which vehicle fits your group
| Group size | Vehicle |
|---|---|
| 3–4 people | Dzire (sedan) |
| 5–6 people | Bolero / Ertiga |
| 7–8 people | Bolero |
| 9–12+ people | Tempo Traveller |
Per-person prices by group size, with fixed departure dates, are on our budget Kedarnath trip from Rishikesh page (Rishikesh is 25 km from Haridwar). Budget and standard package tiers are on the Kedarnath tour package page.

Travelling to Kedarnath as a group
Register every member
Each pilgrim needs their own Uttarakhand yatra registration, including children and seniors. Collect ID details from everyone before you apply, and keep each registration printed and on phone.
The Sonprayag–Gaurikund shuttle
Private vehicles stop at Sonprayag. Shared jeeps then run the last stretch to Gaurikund, so a large group may travel in two or three jeeps; agree a meeting point at Gaurikund.
Ponies, palkis and helicopters are per person
Pony and palki services are hired per person at the trek start. Helicopter seats from Phata, Sirsi or Guptkashi are booked per person on the official IRCTC HeliYatra portal, so members choosing different options should plan their timings together.
Walk at the slowest member's pace
The 16–18 km climb takes most walkers 6–8 hours. Groups that split up lose time regrouping, so set the pace by your slowest walker and fix a meeting point at Kedarnath.
