1. No advance payment
Chardham Yatri does not collect any advance, deposit or "booking amount" before your trip. Your hotels and vehicles are confirmed without upfront payment. We follow this rule so pilgrims never lose money to cancelled trips or to fraudsters pretending to be us.
2. When you pay
- Payment is due only after your yatra has started.
- Your coordinator will share the payable amount, based on your confirmed itinerary, along with a breakup of hotels, vehicle and any other services.
- You can settle the amount in one go or in parts during the trip, as agreed with your coordinator. Any balance must be cleared before the trip ends.
- If the trip is shortened or services change, you pay only for what was actually used. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
3. Accepted payment methods
- UPI (any UPI app)
- Bank transfer (IMPS / NEFT / RTGS)
- Cash, against a written or digital receipt
Payment details are shared only from our official phone number +91 93893 64421 or our official email connectchardhamyatri@gmail.com. If you receive payment details from any other number, call us to verify before paying.
4. Receipts
We issue a receipt for every payment, showing the amount, date, method and services covered. Please keep your UPI or bank transaction reference (UTR) until the trip is fully settled.
5. Payments made directly to others
The following are paid directly by you, not through us:
- Helicopter tickets, booked only on the official IRCTC Heliyatra portal
- Government yatri registration, which is free on the official Uttarakhand portal
- Pony, palki, pithoo and porter charges, paid at government-fixed rates to registered operators at the trek start
- Temple offerings, puja and personal expenses
6. Failed transactions
If money is debited from your account but we have not received it, share the transaction reference with us. We will check with our bank and confirm within 3 working days. Failed UPI and bank transfers are normally reversed to your account by your bank automatically, within the timelines set by the RBI.
7. Duplicate or extra payments
If you pay twice by mistake or pay more than the final amount due, we will refund the extra amount to the same account or UPI ID within 7 working days of confirming it.
8. Fraud warning
Fake websites and WhatsApp accounts often use well-known travel names to take advance payments for hotels or "confirmed" helicopter tickets. Remember:
- We never ask for an advance or token amount.
- We never sell helicopter tickets.
- We never ask for OTPs, card numbers or UPI PINs.
If someone asks you to pay in our name before your trip, do not pay. Report it to us and to the national cyber crime helpline 1930 or cybercrime.gov.in.
