About This Complete Chardham Yatra

The Char Dham Yatra is a special journey to four famous temples – Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri – in the big mountains. These temples are for Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, River Ganga, and River Yamuna. People go there to pray and feel peace. These places are very important in religion. This trip is not just travel, it is a godly journey that gives peace, blessings, and strength to the heart.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Haridwar to Barkot

Start from Haridwar Drive to Barkot (approx. 7-8 hrs) On the way: visit Mussoorie (Kempty Fall) Overnight stay at Barkot

Day 2

Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot

Drive to Janki Chatti 6 km trek to Yamunotri Temple Darshan and return to Barkot Overnight stay at Barkot

Day 3

Barkot to Uttarkashi

Drive to Uttarkashi (approx. 4-5 hrs) Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple Overnight stay at Uttarkashi

Day 4

Gangotri – Uttarkashi

Drive to Gangotri Temple Take a holy dip in River Ganga Darshan and return to Uttarkashi Overnight stay at Uttarkashi

Day 5

Uttarkashi to Guptkashi

Long drive to Guptkashi (8-9 hrs) Enjoy scenic mountain views Overnight stay at Guptkashi

Day 6

Guptkashi – Kedarnath

Travel to Gaurikund 16 km trek to Kedarnath Temple Darshan at Kedarnath Overnight stay in Kedarnath (basic stay)

Day 7

Kedarnath – Guptkashi

Early morning darshan if missed Trek back to Gaurikund Drive to Guptkashi Overnight stay at Guptkashi

Day 8

Guptkashi to Badrinath

Drive to Badrinath Temple Visit Badrinath, Mana Village (last Indian village) Overnight stay at Badrinath

Day 9

Badrinath – Joshimath – Rudraprayag – Haridwar

Morning darshan at Badrinath Drive back to Haridwar via Rudraprayag Tour ends with blessings

Things to Know

Weather Conditions

  • Cold Weather – The Char Dham areas are in the Himalayas, so it stays cold, especially in Kedarnath and Badrinath.
  • Snowfall – In early May and after October, you may see snow in higher places.
  • Warm clothes needed – Always carry woolen clothes, jackets, gloves, caps, and socks.
  • Oxygen levels – In Kedarnath, the air is thin. Some people may feel breathing problems. Carry medicines if needed.
  • Weather changes fast – Be ready for sudden rain or cold winds, even in summer.

Road Conditions

  • Landslides – During the rainy season (July–August), landslides may block the roads.
  • Hilly Roads – Most roads are in the mountains with sharp turns and slopes. Drive carefully.
  • Long Travel Hours – Daily travel can take 6 to 10 hours. Roads are slow due to curves and hills.
  • Bumpy Ride – Some roads are broken or under repair, so rides may be shaky.
  • Night Travel Not Safe – Avoid traveling at night; low visibility and risk of falling rocks.
  • Check Vehicle – Make sure your vehicle is in good condition with good brakes and tyres.

Requirements

  • Carry valid ID like Aadhar Card, Voter ID, or Passport.
  • Government registration is mandatory before starting the yatra.
  • Carry your regular medicines and a small first aid box.
  • Wear good-quality trekking shoes or sports shoes for long walking and climbing.
  • Keep a water bottle, dry fruits, or light snacks during travel and trek.
  • Carry some cash, as ATMs are not available in all areas. Card payment may not work in remote places.
  • Power cuts are common in some areas. Carry a torch and power bank for mobile.
  • You can take travel or health insurance for extra safety.

Terms & Conditions

  • Booking will be confirmed only after advance payment.
  • The advance paid is non-refundable in case of cancellation.
  • The full payment must be made before the start of the trip.
  • No refund will be given if you miss or do not use any part of the tour (hotel, meals, etc.).
  • The company is not responsible for delays or changes in the itinerary due to weather, landslides, or roadblocks.
  • You are responsible for your own health. Carry required medicines and stay fit.
  • Hotels and vehicles will be provided as per availability and the package. Room heaters may cost extra.
  • If included, helicopter service is subject to weather and availability. If canceled, refund is as per helicopter company policy.
  • Respect local customs, temple rules, and government guidelines.
  • Travel or health insurance is not included unless clearly mentioned.
  • Carry original ID (Aadhar, Voter ID, etc.) during the trip.
  • Prices may change without notice due to fuel costs, taxes, or hotel rate changes.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation Policy

  • If you cancel before 30 days of the journey – 100% refund (excluding booking/transaction charges). You must inform in writing (email/message) to confirm cancellation.
  • If you cancel 15 to 30 days before the trip – 50% refund of the total package amount. Any advance booking charges (flights, hotels, etc.) are non-refundable.
  • If you cancel less than 15 days before the journey – No refund. Also, no refund for: No-shows (you don’t join the trip), Leaving trip in between, Unused services (meals, hotel, etc.)

Refund Policy

  • Processing Time: Refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days after cancellation is confirmed. Delays may occur due to bank processing time or third-party approvals (like hotels or transport).
  • Method: Refund will be made to the original payment method: If paid by card/UPI → refund to the same account, If paid by bank transfer → refund to the same bank account
  • Conditions:
    • Refund is given only as per cancellation policy.
