Day 1

Shivpuri to Rishikesh (16 km Route)

08:00 AM: Pickup from Haridwar/Rishikesh hotel 09:00 AM: Arrival at rafting base & safety briefing 09:30 AM: Gear up & transfer to Shivpuri starting point 10:00 AM: Start rafting through thrilling rapids 11:30 AM: Cliff jumping & body surfing (optional) 12:30 PM: End rafting near Laxman Jhula. Freshen up. 01:00 PM: Return to base / proceed to onward journey

Weather Conditions

  • Warm Weather – Rishikesh is in the foothills, so it stays warm and pleasant, especially from March to June.
  • Cold mornings – From October to February, mornings and evenings can be cold. You might need a light jacket or woolen clothing.
  • No snow – Unlike hill stations, Rishikesh doesn’t get snowfall, making it safe for winter rafting.
  • Monsoon alert – From mid-June to September, rafting is closed due to heavy rain and strong river flow.
  • Rafting season – Best time is from October to mid-June when water is calm and the weather is suitable.
  • Clothing tip – Wear light, quick-dry clothes during rafting. Avoid jeans or heavy outfits.
  • Sun exposure – The sun can be strong in summer. Carry sunscreen, cap, and sunglasses.

Road Conditions

  • Mountain Roads – Most routes to and around Rishikesh are hilly with sharp turns and slopes. Drive with caution and keep speed low.
  • Patchy Stretches – Some parts of the road, especially near rafting points like Shivpuri or Marine Drive, may have potholes or unpaved patches.
  • Traffic Jams – On weekends or holidays, Rishikesh gets crowded. Expect traffic delays near adventure zones and bridges.
  • Daytime Travel – Always prefer traveling in daylight. Night driving in hilly terrain is risky due to blind turns and poor visibility.

Requirements

  • Carry valid ID like Aadhar Card, Voter ID, or Passport.
  • Physical fitness is important; minimum age is usually 14 years.
  • Carry your regular medicines and a small first aid kit if needed.
  • Wear quick-dry clothes and water-friendly shoes or sandals with straps.
  • Keep a water bottle and light snacks for energy before or after rafting.
  • Carry some cash, as card payments may not be accepted at all rafting points.
  • Travel or health insurance is recommended for extra safety during adventure activities.

Terms & Conditions

  • Minimum Age – Participants must be at least 14 years old for most rafting stretches. Some beginner routes may allow 12+ with parental consent.
  • Fitness Level – Basic physical fitness is required. You should be able to paddle, float, and follow safety instructions.
  • No Major Health Issues – People with heart problems, epilepsy, asthma, or recent surgeries should avoid rafting.
  • Weight Limit – Generally, participants should be between 40 kg to 100 kg for balance and safety in the raft.
  • Swimming Not Required – You don’t need to know swimming. Life jackets are provided, and guides are trained for rescue.
  • Proper Clothing – Wear quick-dry clothes, water shoes or sandals with a strap. Avoid jeans, sarees, or heavy clothing.
  • No Alcohol or Drugs – Strictly prohibited before or during rafting. It’s unsafe and not allowed by any rafting operator.
  • ID Proof – Carry a valid government-issued ID. It may be needed for registration or entry at rafting points.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation Policy

  • If you cancel before 30 days of the journey – 100% refund (excluding booking/transaction charges). You must inform in writing (email/message) to confirm cancellation.
  • If you cancel 15 to 30 days before the trip – 50% refund of the total package amount. Any advance booking charges (flights, hotels, etc.) are non-refundable.
  • If you cancel less than 15 days before the journey – No refund. Also, no refund for: No-shows (you don’t join the trip), Leaving trip in between, Unused services (meals, hotel, etc.)

Refund Policy

  • Processing Time: Processing Time: Refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days after cancellation is confirmed. Delays may occur due to bank processing time or third-party approvals (like hotels or transport).
  • Method: Method: Refund will be made to the original payment method: If paid by card/UPI → refund to the same account, If paid by bank transfer → refund to the same bank account

    • Refund is given only as per cancellation policy.
