1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions apply when you use chardhamyatri.com or book any trip, hotel stay or vehicle arranged by Chardham Yatri ("we", "us"). By sending a booking request or travelling with us, you agree to these terms along with our Payment Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy, Travel Risk & Disclaimer and Privacy Policy. The person who makes the booking accepts these terms on behalf of everyone in their group.
2. Who we are and what we do
Chardham Yatri is a Dehradun-based travel planning business registered as an MSME (Udyam: UDYAM-UK-05-0106556). We arrange:
- Char Dham, Do Dham and single-dham itineraries
- Hotel, guesthouse and homestay rooms along the yatra route
- Taxis and tempo travellers with drivers experienced on hill roads
- Guidance on official yatri registration and helicopter booking procedures
- Village stays, Harshil Valley trips and short treks
Hotels and vehicles are provided by independent local partners. We choose them carefully and coordinate your trip, but each partner is responsible for running its own service.
What we do not do: we are not a government body, we do not operate or sell helicopter tickets (these are sold only on the IRCTC Heliyatra portal), and we cannot complete or guarantee your government yatri registration or temple darshan slots.
3. How a booking is made
- You send an enquiry through our website, phone, WhatsApp or email.
- We share an itinerary and quote listing what is included and excluded (for example meals, pony/palki charges or entry fees).
- Your booking is confirmed once you accept the itinerary and we confirm it to you in writing from our official phone number or email.
A booking form submitted on the website is a request, not a confirmed booking. Hotel rooms and vehicles are subject to availability until we confirm them.
4. Prices and payment
Quoted prices are valid for the dates and group size in the quote. Rates in the yatra season change quickly, so a quote may need to be revised if your dates or group size change. We do not collect any advance. Full details of when and how you pay are in our Payment Policy.
5. Your responsibilities
- Register every traveller on the official Uttarakhand yatri registration portal before the trip and carry the registration and a valid photo ID.
- Give us correct names, ages, contact numbers and any health or mobility needs of your group.
- Check that each traveller is medically fit for high-altitude travel. Elderly travellers and anyone with heart, lung or blood-pressure conditions should consult a doctor before booking.
- Follow instructions from the police, SDRF, temple committees and district administration, including road and trek closures.
- Be at pick-up points on time. Delays caused by the traveller may shorten sightseeing or darshan time.
- Respect temple rules, local customs and the mountain environment. Do not litter, and do not carry alcohol or non-vegetarian food into temple areas.
6. Changes you request
You can ask to change dates, hotels, vehicles or the route at any time. We will try to make the change and tell you of any difference in price before applying it. Cancellations are covered in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
7. Changes we may have to make
Mountain travel is unpredictable. We may need to reschedule, reroute or shorten a trip because of weather, landslides, road closures, temple timing changes, government orders or safety concerns. When this happens we will tell you as early as possible, suggest the best alternative, and you will pay only for the services you actually use. See our Travel Risk & Disclaimer.
8. Hotel listings on this website
Some hotel and homestay pages are created by property owners. Owners are responsible for the accuracy of their photos, amenities, prices and house rules. We review listings, but if anything at the property differs from what was shown, please tell us so we can help and correct the listing.
9. Limits of our liability
We take reasonable care in planning your trip and choosing partners. We are not responsible for loss, injury, delay or extra cost caused by events outside our control, by third-party operators acting independently, or by a traveller not following safety instructions. Where we are found responsible, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
10. Use of this website
Text, photos and designs on this website belong to Chardham Yatri or are used with permission. You may share links to our pages, but please do not copy our content for commercial use. Travel information on the site is general guidance; always check current official notices before you travel.
11. Complaints, governing law and jurisdiction
If something goes wrong, please contact us first through our Grievance Redressal process. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts in Dehradun, Uttarakhand have jurisdiction, subject to your rights under consumer protection law.
12. Updates to these terms
We may update these terms before a new yatra season or when the law changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the current version. A confirmed booking follows the terms that applied on the date it was confirmed.
