Harsil Valley Getaway
Our Harshil Valley tour package is 5 days and 4 nights in the "Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand", with all four nights at our own Daisy HomeStay in Bagori village, Gangotri darshan, home-cooked pahadi food and a local driver. The trip starts and ends at Haridwar, Rishikesh or Dehradun. Delhi pickup and drop can be added at extra cost. Harshil (also spelled Harsil) sits at around 2,700 m on the banks of the Bhagirathi, on the road to Gangotri in Uttarkashi district. The valley is known for its deodar forests, apple orchards and snow peaks, and for Frederick "Pahari" Wilson, who introduced apples and rajma here in the 1800s. Gangotri Temple is only about 25 km away, which makes Harshil the best base for a peaceful Gangotri yatra. Your driver is a local pahadi driver who drives the Rishikesh–Uttarkashi–Gangotri road every season. We never drive on hill roads after dark.
