Best time to travel from Vijayawada
AP summer holidays (April–May) are the most popular period, so book large group bookings 60+ days ahead. Late September to October is quieter.
Vijayawada is on the main Chennai–Delhi rail line, so it has plenty of trains to Delhi. That gives Andhra yatris a real choice between flying with one stop and taking a long but direct train to the capital.
Andhra pilgrims from Vijayawada, Guntur and Amaravati often travel in large extended-family groups. Planning the flights and the Uttarakhand vehicles together matters, so that the whole group arrives on the same day.
